Motor Trend has done a full 2015 GMC Canyon test drive and the results are in. Driving it is a “resoundingly good experience” and it’s a “really good little truck.”
Motor Trend applauded GMC in its bravery to step into a harder-to-sell segment of automotive and lauded the product of said brave step. The test truck was equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque with a six-speed automatic transmission.
According to their test drivers, the Canyon went from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds. They reported that it brakes much like a sedan, stopping from 60 mph in only 125 feet.
Motor Trend test drivers reported being very satisfied with the power under the hood, commenting that the Canyon “feels quick enough around town and on the highway.” The steering was praised as the best some of the drivers had ever experienced in a truck. It is responsive and easy to manage, making the truck agile and lithe.
Drivers also commented that the truck rides nicely and is quieter than you would expect inside, especially for a truck.
Here at Crawford Buick GMC we only want to offer you the best, and if that doesn’t sound like a glowing recommendation, we don’t know what does.
