Join Us at El Paso’s Downtown Street Festival

If you happen to visit El Paso near the end of June, you won’t want to miss the classic Downtown Street Festival! It’s one of our city’s most famous events, which will take place on June 26th and 27th at the Convention Center Plaza, the Abraham Chavez Theatre, Arts Festival Plaza, Santa Fe Street, Main Street, and San Francisco Street.

It’ll be a non-stop party with food, fun, games and outdoor music suited for all ages, including five unique stages that highlight different genres of music such as alternative, country, decades, Latin, and indie rock.

Highlight performances on the first day include Grammy Award-winning band Halestorm, who will rock the stage before making way for seven-time Grammy Award-nominated rock legend Rob Zombie. On the second day, alternative rock icon Weezer will dominate the stage, and a dramatic fireworks show will light up the sky on both nights.

Most of us from Crawford Buick GMC will be at El Paso’s Downtown Street Festival. We hope you will join us there!

Go Dancing in the City This Summer!

dancing in the cityIf you were wondering what to do this month in El Paso, wonder no more! Over the summer, thousands will go Dancing in the City at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso, including a few of us from Crawford Buick GMC!

The event takes place every Saturday through June and July. The concert is at 8pm-10pm, but if you don’t want to show up feeling like the only fool on the block who can’t dance (don’t worry, you’re not alone), you can take dance lessons an hour before, from 7pm-8pm.

Each Saturday will feature different bands and different kinds of music, ranging from swing and salsa to cumbia and funk. This June, bands like Los Chamukos, Texas Gypsies, and the Abe Mac Band will set the tone for your newly-acquired skills. There won’t be a concert on Saturday, June 27th, as that night will be dedicated to the annual Downtown Street Festival, but you can still go to learn how to dance!
