GMC Vehicles to Appear On-Field in Madden NFL 25

Madden GMCGMC is proud to be the official vehicle of the National Football League; their partnership has resulted in, among other things, the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year Award, which recognizes top performances by players such as Tony Romo, Adrian Peterson, and 2012 award-winner Torrey Smith.

Now GMC’s involvement in all things NFL is taking the next natural step into the digital realm and onto the field for the twenty-fifth annual installment of the number one leading cause of fake sick days in the nation: EA Sports’ Madden franchise.

Madden NFL 25, which will hit stores August 27 of this year, will have GMC as its official vehicle and will utilize the digital likenesses of the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra and current-year model Yukon, Acadia, and Terrain.  It’s fitting then, given that last year’s installment featured Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson on its cover and this year’s current-gen versions will feature legendary Lions RB Barry Sanders, that the Detroit-made 2014 Sierra Denali will be awarded to the in-game Super Bowl MVP.

Additionally, the GMC/EA Sports/NFL triumvirate is offering Madden fans the opportunity to win tickets to EA’s Tiburon studio in Orlando, Fla., where they’ll spend the day with programmers and feasting their eyes on the game before it becomes available to the public.  Details on the contest, which runs through August 1, can be found at

Here at Crawford Buick GMC, we’ve got great deals on new and current GMC Sierra, Yukon, Acadia, and Terrain, the latter three of which offer available with rear seat entertainment system that will enable you to play Madden NFL 25 on the go.

If you’re one of the many Americans who will be inexplicably truck-sticked a bad 24-hour bug on August 27, we won’t tell.  Just rest assured you take some of that time off to come down and see us at Crawford Buick GMC; we’ll be hard at work!

2014 Sierra To Offer Most Torque In Segment

2014 Sierra engineIf you’re a truck owner who uses your pickup for hauling or towing, you know a thing or two about torque. For others who are unfamiliar with this term, you may not know the benefits torque can bring to your vehicle. To put it in its simplest terms, torque is the force that enables a vehicle to start moving from a stop and pulls it up steep hills. Torque also provides power when you are towing or hauling something behind the vehicle.

We are excited to say that the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra full-size pickup will arrive later this summer with a standard 4.3-liter EcoTec V6 engine that will offer the most torque of any standard V6 in its segment. The standard 4.3-liter EcoTec3 will offer 305 lb-ft of torque. The new EcoTech3 engines feature state-of-the-art direct injection, active fuel management, and continuously variable valve timing.

“This is technology no other truck maker can match, and we offer it in every EcoTec3 engines, for every customer,” said Jordan Lee, GM Powertrain chief engineer. “It is a standard feature, so our drivers our best and most sophisticated technology regardless of trim level.”

In addition to new engine choices, the 2014 GMC Sierra will showcase a new look and a plethora of new features. Watch for its arrival this summer at our El Paso dealership. Stop by or visit us online for more information.

2014 Sierra is First in Full-Size Pickup Segment to Offer Some Advanced Safety Features

2014 GMC SierraBy now you’ve probably heard a lot of buzz around the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra. When this full-size pickup arrives this summer, it will boast a fresh look, new engine options, and an array of innovative features. Something you may not notice at first glance is the addition of available safety features never offered to full-size pickup owners previously.

GMC’s optional Safety Alert Seat coordinates with such features as the Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure warning and uses vibrations to alert the driver of a possible concern on the road. Vibrations in the driver’s seat bottom on triggered on either the left or right side with the correlating side of the road the potential danger is on.

“It’s akin to someone tapping on your should in a crowd to get your attention,” said General Motors Active Safety Technical Fellow Raymond Kiefer. “Using the tactile sense to communicate crash threat direction provides an effective and intuitive way to cut through the clutter of visual and auditory sensory information that drivers routinely experience.”

Other active safety features offered on the 2014 Sierra include Front and Rear Park Assist, Rear Vision Camera, and Trailer Sway Control. Watch for the arrival of this safe and innovative new Sierra in just a few short months at Crawford Buick GMC!

2014 GMC Sierra: Power, Efficiency, Luxury

2014 GMC SierraThere is a lot to love about the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra.  With three available engines, increased fuel efficiency, and the most standard features ever available for the full-sizepickup, the 2014 Sierra is, in our humble opinion, the best one yet!

Featuring all aluminum blocks and heads, the 2014 GMC Sierra will house either a 4.3L V6, a 5.3L V8, or a 6.2L V8.  All three engines are new to 2014, based on GMC’s EcoTec3 platform.  The V6 is noted to be built to handle the demands of a truck, but offering the fuel efficiency one can expect in newer V6 cars.

Perhaps the best new feature of these engines is the Active Fuel Management system, which cuts combustion on four cylinders during light driving to increase fuel efficiency.  Standard across the board this year is a new six-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous four -speed to help with, you guessed it, fuel efficiency.

To match their new lineup of engines, the folks at GMC gave the 2014 Sierra an interior that feels more like a luxury sedan than a truck, but with more purpose and function fit for a truck.  We like that.  Standing out is a 4.2-inch in-dash display with all the features you’d expect: trip computer, navigation, radio and audio options.  Pair that with the available 8-inch touch screen and you’ve got yourself a truck with enough tech to match your home set-up.  There are also compartments spacious enough for your laptop with five USB ports and four 12-volt outlets in case you really need to get things done on the go.

A release date has not yet been confirmed, but we expect the announcement at next month’s Detroit Auto Show to be a summer release.  Whatever the release date, Crawford Buick GMC strives to be your first choice for the new 2014 GMC Sierra.
