Three GMC vehicles and one Buick vehicle have been ranked among the most dependable vehicles in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study: the GMC Sierra 1500 in the full-size light-duty pickup segment, the Yukon in the large SUV segment, the Terrain in the compact SUV segment, and the Buick LaCrosse in the large car segment.
Every year, J.D. Power tracks vehicles in their third year of ownership to determine those with the highest level of dependability and reliability, ranking the top three in each automotive segment. This is determined based on the amount of problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100).
The Buick and GMC brands themselves were ranked highly: the former was 2nd, the highest of any non-luxury brand, and GMC was 10th, both performing far better than the industry average PP100 of 147.
Though it analyzes 2012 model year vehicles, the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study is still a great tool for picking out the best models and brands when it comes to reliability. You can find all of the models mentioned above at Crawford Buick GMC!
The Buick brand has been proving its worth over and over again these last couple years. Most recently, three Buick vehicles won 5-Year Cost to Own Awards from KBB.com. These awards predict that these vehicles—the 2015 Enclave, Encore, and Verano—will have the lowest cost of ownership of any vehicle in their segment over the next five years.
The awards are a validation of the value and excellence of the Buick brand’s product line. The Buick Enclave boasts an especially strong résumé. Not only did it win a Cost to Own award, but it also recently completed a second consecutive record sales year. “The Enclave has also been a cornerstone of Buick’s product renaissance, which saw a second consecutive year of record global sales in 2014,” Duncan Aldred, Buick vice president, said.”
The Enclave’s sales will likely increase this year too, partly due to awards like the 5-Year Cost to Own. It’s the most affordable and excellent vehicle in the Luxury Full-Size SUV/Crossover segment. And remember—it’s just one of three different vehicles that won these great awards. Come see us here at Crawford Buick GMC to learn more.
It’s the ultimate question among truck-lovers: which truck is the best? Ask anyone with any kind of experience with trucks and you’ll get a pretty biased answer about their personal favorite truck.
But what happens when you objectively compare all of the one-ton trucks on the market to determine the ultimate champion? That’s exactly what PickupTruck.com set out to do.
They created a tough set of 19 tests and paired it with judged criteria to determine what we here at Crawford Buick GMC already knew: the GMC Sierra 3500 is the Ultimate One-Ton Truck.
The Sierra won the competition by a clear margin by having the smoothest and most comfortable ride and the best fuel economy, even when towing a 20,000 pound trailer from Las Vegas to Denver. However, the interior with its multimedia interface along with the 8-inch navigation screen pushed the Sierra over the edge to ensure the victory.
The Sierra managed to beat out all of its competitors even while being the least expensive truck in the competition.
Whether you are looking for an SUV loaded with interior features, performance, and exterior design or a truck with the ability to haul whatever you throw at it, Crawford Buick GMC carries just the vehicle you’re looking for.
Here at Crawford, we are proud to contribute to another successful sales month for the GMC brand. The Sierra and Yukon lead the way for April sales. The Yukon XL posted a 44% increase in year-over-year total sales while the Sierra’s sales grew 21% since last year.
With the recent introduction of the 2015 Yukon, sales have skyrocketed. The new refined Yukon features a more chiseled appearance and upgraded cabin. The all-new Yukon is captivating drivers with its new look and excellent performance.
Along with new introductions, the GMC brand has been winning awards. The Sierra was recently recognized as Vincentric’s 2014 Best Fleet Value in America for both 2500HD and 3500HD models. The GMC brand as a whole was recently recognized as Kelley Blue Book’s “Most Refined Brand.”
