Not one, not two, but all of Buick’s 2017 models have top safety this year. All six 2017 Buick models have earned an overall five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
It’s not easy to earn five stars from the NHTSA. To get a five-star Overall Vehicle Score, a vehicle must pass a range of tests like frontal, side, and rollover tests. But it also considers vehicle safety technology.
So how did all six 2017 Buick models do it? They did it with intelligent and advanced safety features. Additions like all-new Front Pedestrian Braking increase your safety and the safety of those outside the car. The Safety Alert Seat helps alert you when you’ve left something in the seat behind you. Plus, high-strength steel and advanced air bags help protect you in the instance of a crash.
“We know safety is top of mind for buyers when shopping for new vehicles, and the recent ratings by NHTSA showcase our brand’s dedication to providing our customers with safe, reliable transportation,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick Sales, Service and Marketing.
So no matter what 2017 Buick you’re getting behind the wheel of, you’ll get the perfect combination of style, power, and safety. Check out your favorite Buick today at Crawford Buick GMC.

With so many automakers out there, it’s hard to find the “best” one. But one thing that makes automakers stand out above their competitors is their reliability. Many call American automakers among the least reliable, but that’s not true for Buick, as it was just ranked among the top three in the latest Consumer Reports Reliability Survey.
For the first time in thirty years, an American automaker has made it into the top three of the Consumer Reports’ list of most reliable cars. That automaker? Buick! This is a big leap from Buick’s place on the list last year – seventh. It’s only under Lexus and Toyota on this esteemed list.
So, what are some elements of Buick that make them so reliable this year? It has something to do with the attention to detail on their cars. With a smaller lineup than other American competitors, the safety and reliability of each car affects their overall reliability much more. Essentially, Buick knows what works and they’re sticking to it.
“Top reliability means Buick owners are spending less time getting their cars serviced and more time meeting obligations at work and at home,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of global Buick sales, service and marketing.
So what are you waiting for? Call a reliable Buick “yours” today.
We at Crawford Buick GMC are huge fans of the Buick Encore. In fact, everyone seems to be a fan of it, as it is one of our most sought-after vehicles. It debuted in 2013 and has been a popular choice ever since.
This year is an exciting time for the Encore, as it has finally gotten a makeover! Featuring Buick’s new tricolor insignia, the new Encore has a more refined look than the previous model. It now has a new front grille, altered headlights, and an updated infotainment system.
The new 8-inch infotainment system now offers options such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are also better navigation systems and connectivity to more safely use your phone while driving.
The new 2017 Buick Encore debuted at the New York International Auto Show and was an instant success. The Encore will go on sale later this year, and is one of three subcompact crossovers offered by Buick. There is also the Enclave and the brand new Envision compact crossover.
For information about the new Encore or any of the Buick compact crossover vehicles, stop by Crawford Buick GMC.
Last year’s record was 1,170,115 total vehicles, which was surpassed in mid-December thanks to record sales in China and strong crossover performances in the United States.
In the US, crossover sales increased by 3% across the industry. A whopping 40% of all new vehicles sold in the country are crossovers. The automaker has been tapping into that expanding market with capable vehicles like the Encore and Enclave, which together accounted for 60% of the Buick’s annual sales in the US. In fact, the Encore has been setting record sales for the last 23 straight months.
Sales are expected to continue rising throughout 2016 at Crawford Buick GMC. We anticipate the arrival of the Cascada convertible and the new 2017 LaCrosse, as well as the all-new Envision compact crossover that has been all the rage in China.
Buick has one of the most recognizable brand badges in the automotive industry. The three shields that make up the Buick symbol represent the endurance and longevity of the brand. However, even the most iconic of symbols can get a facelift every once in a while.
The first Buick badge will retain the three shields that have become so iconic. However, it will add splashes of red and blue to the symbol, as well as streamlined wing designs.
The first Buick vehicle to follow the Buick badge makeover will be the new 2017 Buick Lacrosse. By 2018, all Buick vehicles will have the new badge stamped on the front.
“The new tri-shield insignia represents the next chapter in Buick’s storied design history and introduces a new face for the brand,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick. “It’s a progressive, contemporary design reflective of Buick’s newest vehicles and cognitive of the brand’s heritage.”
Buick’s new badge pays respects to the company’s past while helping the brand move forward.
While we’ll admit that some in-car voice recognition systems can be downright frustrating to use, there are certainly plenty of options that actually work really well. According to a recent study by AAA Foundation for Safety and Edmunds, the Chevrolet Equinox and Buick Lacrosse offer the best in-car voice recognition software for model year 2015 vehicles.
The testing took into account ten different voice-recognition systems in 2015 model year cars, ranking each one by how distracting it is. The software in the Chevrolet Equinox and Buick Lacrosse were ranked as the two least-distracting voice command systems.
Safety experts agree that distracting voice command systems can pose a serious problem on our streets.
“The lasting effects of mental distraction pose a hidden and pervasive danger that would likely come as a surprise to most drivers,” said Peter Kissinger, president and CEO of the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. “The results indicate that motorists could miss stop signs, pedestrians, and other vehicles while the mind is readjusting to the task of driving.”
If you’re in the market for a new car that features voice recognition software which is easy to use, stop by Crawford Buick GMC!
Here at Crawford Buick GMC, we can’t wait to get our hands on the all-new 2016 Buick Cascada. This beautiful convertible will be coming to our showroom early next year. Buick has announced pricing for the 2016 Cascada and it will start at $33,990.
That is a great price. In fact, it is $3,535 less than the 2016 Audi A3 Cabriolet. And, even with that price difference, you’ll get a standard, more powerful engine, standard heated front seats, and a standard heated steering wheel. Just imagine what you could buy with an extra $3,000 in your pocket.
“Cascada expands Buick’s lineup with a uniquely fun and personal driving experience,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick, in a statement. “With a lower price than key competitors, it also promises to shake up the segment – and look good doing it.”
Some of the Cascada’s other great standard features include an insulated electro-hydraulic power roof that lowers in just 17 seconds, even while driving at speeds up to 31 mph. You’ll also get remote start, a Rear Vision camera, Rear Park Assist, dual-zone climate control, and so much more.
