It appears GMC has been hitting the gym to not only bulk up the look of its newest lineup, but also to partner with pro athletes in its newest ad campaign entitled “Precision.”
Highlighting the car company’s dedication to accuracy and detail found in its design and engineering accomplishments, one TV ad entitled “Fastball” features a San Francisco Giants left-handed relief pitcher throwing the ball over the corner of the plate, striking out his opponent with great skill and—obviously—precision. GMC’s precision ad campaign also features Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors and menswear craftsmen.
“For discerning GMC customers, Professional Grade has evolved to mean exacting attention to detail and fine craftsmanship in everything they do and purchase,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC sales and marketing, said in a statement. “Precision is a core attribute of the brand and is reflected in GMC’s continued momentum.”
The GMC “Precision” lineup includes the Acadia SUV, Canyon midsize pickup, Savana van, Sierra full-size pickup, Terrain crossover, Yukon, and Yukon XL SUVs, so be sure to visit Crawford Buick GMC.
Three GMC vehicles and one Buick vehicle have been ranked among the most dependable vehicles in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study: the GMC Sierra 1500 in the full-size light-duty pickup segment, the Yukon in the large SUV segment, the Terrain in the compact SUV segment, and the Buick LaCrosse in the large car segment.
Every year, J.D. Power tracks vehicles in their third year of ownership to determine those with the highest level of dependability and reliability, ranking the top three in each automotive segment. This is determined based on the amount of problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100).
The Buick and GMC brands themselves were ranked highly: the former was 2nd, the highest of any non-luxury brand, and GMC was 10th, both performing far better than the industry average PP100 of 147.
Though it analyzes 2012 model year vehicles, the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study is still a great tool for picking out the best models and brands when it comes to reliability. You can find all of the models mentioned above at Crawford Buick GMC!
Hennessey is at it again. The Texas-based performance engineering company known for packing insane amounts of horsepower into already-powerful cars, has created a 2015 Hennessey Supercharged GMC Denali that packs a serious punch.
Hennessey doesn’t discriminate, and has proven that even SUVs can get in on the horsepower war. Hennessey took a 2015 Yukon Denali equipped with a 6 viagra ordonnance.2-liter V8 and the HPE650 Supercharged Upgrade package, and added a 2.9-liter supercharger system. The supercharger system boosts the Denali’s already-powerful 420 horsepower engine to put out a ridiculous yet awesome 665 hp and 658 lb-ft of torque.
So what does all this power come down to? A Denali that can go from 0 to 60 in a measly 4.5 seconds, that’s what. That’s as fast as a 2014 Ford Mustang GT—an impressive feat to be sure. The Denali weighs 5,800 pounds, and isn’t exactly aerodynamic, if you know what we mean. Despite those logistics, the test driver in a video on digitaltrends.com launches the Denali from the start line and completes a quarter mile in just 13.1 seconds.
We think Digital Trends put it best when they called the supercharged Denali a 13-second quarter-mile mom-mobile. This Denali would certainly make school pick-up duty a bit more exciting.
Stop by Crawford Buick GMC to check out the powerful Denali. Though it might not be the supercharged version, we think you’ll be impressed at just how much power it packs.
The Yukon Denali has long been one of the most impressive luxury vehicles in the full-size SUV segment, and it continues to get more and more advanced with every passing model year. Of course, you’d worry that all those updates would be pushing the price of the Yukon vastly upward, but that’s actually not the case. Despite another batch of awesome upgrades, the updated Yukon Denali price saw a bump of just $1,300 dollars.
When you take into consideration all the cool stuff the updated Yukon Denali comes with, that number becomes even more impressive. The new Yukon Denali comes with an all-new 8L90 eight-speed transmission, a 6.2-liter Ecotec3 V8 engine, OnStar Wi-Fi capability, and more. That all-new powertrain lineup also gets you 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, and it’s even more efficient now with 22 mpg highway rating.
To check out all the different versions of the Yukon Denali, come see us here at Crawford Buick GMC and we’ll take you on a tour of our whole inventory until we find the perfect vehicle for you!
In a recent interview with Edmunds.com, Buick-GMC Vice President Duncan Aldred laid out some possible changes coming to the GMC brand. Among these changes was the introduction of a new flagship SUV, as well as the possibility of a vehicle that could challenge the Jeep Wrangler.
Aldred took on his position earlier this year, and already has big plans for the brand, “I have come here to do a job and change the face of the brand,” he declared.
While Aldred said GMC currently doesn’t have any plans to add new models to the lineup, the automaker is still in the brainstorming stage. He said, “There is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy.”
If GMC goes through with these additional models, it could really help redefine the brand and give it a more specific mission. Perhaps GMC could focus more on offering off-road type vehicles, as well as vehicles that can haul and tow your boat and camper.
The current GMC lineup includes the GMC Canyon, Sierra, Terrain, Acadia, Yukon, and upscale Yukon Denali. What type of vehicles would you love to see GMC add to its lineup?
The GMC Sierra, Terrain, and Yukon lead the way to a great month for the GMC brand. GMC experienced its best May since 2007 with retail sales up 15% and a total year-over-year increase of 8%. GMC says that customers love their lineup because of its reliability and diversity.
The brand states that many of its customers are trading in their old heavy-duty trucks and opting for the Sierra HD featuring the Duramax Turbo Diesel engine. Customers love the towing capacity, quality, and dependability they get from the GMC Sierra HD.
The 2014 Terrain experienced its best month ever with retail sales up 13% from last year and total sales up 11%. Customers who have purchased the Terrain note its excellent safety features and top rating from IIHS. GMC hopes to continue positive sales growth with the introduction of 4G LTE on 2015 models debuting at dealerships this summer.
Along with the Sierra and Terrain, the 2015 GMC Yukon had an excellent month in May. 76% of retail sales came from the full-size SUV with a year-over-year retail sales increase of 138% and total sales up 10%.
As you can see, GMC vehicles are dependable, reliable, and comfortable so it’s easy to see why GMC had such a great month. If you are interested in a Sierra HD, Terrain, or Yukon, stop by and see us in El Paso!
