Introducing the GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X

The GMC Sierra 2500HD is already regarded as one of the toughest pickup trucks on the road. But now thanks to an all-new edition, the Sierra is even tougher than ever. It’s called the GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X – and it’s ready to take on the road less traveled.

The All Terrain X package has previously only been offered on the Sierra 1500 and the Canyon. But this year, the 2500HD gets the special treatment. The All Terrain X comes with incredible updates that are sure to handle any road like a champ. A Z71 off-road suspension package and skid plates ensure that the underside of your truck will be protected.

It’s not just about performance, though. All Terrain X trucks get aggressive details like 18-inch aluminum wheels, black mirrors, black sport bar, black side steps, and a black grille. Don’t worry, though, if Onyx Black isn’t for you, you can get the same features in Summit White.

On the inside, you’ll get sleek and comfortable style to match your aggressive interior. Features like remote-start and a wireless phone charger will make your drives easier. Plus, adjustable pedals, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel give you luxurious comfort.

Keep your eyes peeled for All Terrain X!

Sumo Wrestler Byamba Is a GMC Precision Expert

These days, many auto makers are being extra creative in their advertising. GMC is no exception, as it has a new series of commercials called “Precisions Experts.”

In the new “GMC Precision Experts” commercial, a sumo wrestler explains his definition of precision. The sumo wrestler’s name is Ulambayar “Byamba” Byambajav, and he defines precision as the joining of form and function.

The combination of form and function makes an astonishing package, one which Byamba exemplifies. He also points out that the new 2016 Sierra 1500 Denali is a prime example of precision.

Both the GMC pickup and the sumo wrestler have an intense game face, which hints at the power each one has to offer. In addition, Byamba believes that precision is something that needs to happen within. He shows us that the interior of the Sierra 1500 is spacious, with room to relax as it blocks outside noise.

We at Crawford Buick GMC would not have thought of the similarities between a sumo wrestler and the GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, but precision expert Byamba makes some great points! Check out the video here and then come into Crawford Buick GMC to see real-life precision in the Sierra 1500 Denali.

GMC Named KBB Most Refined Brand in 2016 Brand Image Awards

GMC was named the KBB Most Refined Brand in the non-luxury market in the 2016 Brand Image Awards, announced by the website in late March.

Kelley Blue Book determines the winners of the Brand Image Awards based on data from customers who participate in KBB’s Strategic Insights’ Brand Watch study, which surveys more than 12,000 customers through the website. The study determines what factors make customers pick certain brands or vehicles, as well as what determines brand familiarity and loyalty.

GMC has received this award three years in a row, repeatedly receiving praise for its refined design and features while maintaining rugged performance and image. The luxury Denali badging is a big part of GMC’s win, which offers luxury without compromising GMC’s image.

In 2015, nearly a quarter of GMC sales were Denali vehicles, with the sub-brand alone outselling numerous luxury automakers. Since its introduction in 1999, more than 850,000 Denali vehicles have been sold in the US.

GMC Sierra 1500 Named the Texas Truck Showdown Towing Champion

We at Crawford Buick GMC know that it takes a tough truck to earn the title of Texas Truck Showdown Towing Champion. The truck that took home the award this year is the GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with the available 6.2-ltier V8 engine.

The Sierra 1500 SLT performed the best in head-to-head capability tests with a variety of objectives. These took place in Texas and were conducted by editors for PickupTrucks.com, Cars.com, and MrTruck.com.

The other trucks in the competition included the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Toyota Tundra—all of which the 1500 SLT beat.

The Sierra offers a max trailer rating of 12,000 pounds, with an engine of 420 horsepower and 460lb-ft. Even with the powerful engine and towing ability, it still ranked first in fuel economy with a trailer.

Judges praised the Sierra for effortless performance with the most powerful gas engine. “This is a mild-mannered pickup that is ready to don its cape and do some heavy lifting, saving the day from a long list of work chores,” said Mark Williams, PickupTrucks.com editor.

GMC trucks are powerful vehicles, capable, and refined. Sierra Marketing Manager Stuart Pierce stated that the craftsmanship is bold styling so that the “the Sierra handles the toughest tasks in the utmost comfort.”

GM Apple CarPlay Compatibility Sells More Cars

smartphoneMore and more vehicles on the market are becoming connected. With touchscreens becoming standard in the average model and some cars even offering a mobile wi-fi hotspot, the future is upon us. General Motors was one of the first companies to include smartphone connectivity in the lineups of the company’s various brands—Buick and GMC included. GM Apple CarPlay compatibility is reportedly contributing to the company’s incredible success this past year.

The Apple feature was implemented in a number of General Motors vehicles long before competing carmakers even though of it; now GM is reaping the benefits of foresight. Independent dealerships claim that consumers come onto the lot because they have heard about the Apple CarPlay feature and are interested, <a href="http://www viagra efficace ou pas.techtimes.com/articles/116327/20151215/apple-carplay-helps-general-motors-dealers-sell-more.htm”>drawing more and more potential buyers into the dealership. The popularity of the feature is also due to the fact that it mirrors to look and feel of the Apple iOS on users’ iPhones.

GM Apple CarPlay connectivity is no joke, judging by the fact that a total of 27 vehicles in GM’s lineup–more than any other manufacturer–come standard with the Apple feature. Other brands are beginning to follow in the company’s footsteps, but GM already has the upper hand.

GMC Adds All-New Duramax Diesel Engine Option to Canyon’s Offerings

After re-entering the mid-size truck segment last year, the 2016 GMC Canyon is shaking up the competition once again, adding an all-new Duramax diesel engine to its list of available powertrains. The turbo-diesel engine makes no apologies as it raises the standard for the segment.

Rated at 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, the engine provides a trailering capacity of up to 7,700 lbs for two-wheel drive models. In addition to its incredible hauling capabilities, the new 2.8-liter engine is expected to provide impressive fuel efficiency as well.

Along with the game-changing diesel engine, the 2016 Canyon will also offer an all-new integrated trailer brake controller and smart diesel exhaust brake system. The engine is paired to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.

“A diesel engine was part of the Canyon’s portfolio plan from the beginning, meaning the chassis, suspension and other elements of its architecture were engineered to support it,” said Scott Yackley, who served as assistant chief engineer. “That means there are no compromises with the Canyon diesel. It offers exceptional capability delivered with a confident feeling of control.”

Mark your calendars: the 2016 GMC Canyon with the available Duramax diesel engine is set to arrive this fall.

GMC’s Precision Ad Campaign partners with Pro Athletes

GMC LogoIt appears GMC has been hitting the gym to not only bulk up the look of its newest lineup, but also to partner with pro athletes in its newest ad campaign entitled “Precision.”

Highlighting the car company’s dedication to accuracy and detail found in its design and engineering accomplishments, one TV ad entitled “Fastball” features a San Francisco Giants left-handed relief pitcher throwing the ball over the corner of the plate, striking out his opponent with great skill and—obviously—precision. GMC’s precision ad campaign also features Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors and menswear craftsmen.

“For discerning GMC customers, Professional Grade has evolved to mean exacting attention to detail and fine craftsmanship in everything they do and purchase,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC sales and marketing, said in a statement. “Precision is a core attribute of the brand and is reflected in GMC’s continued momentum.”

The GMC “Precision” lineup includes the Acadia SUV, Canyon midsize pickup, Savana van, Sierra full-size pickup, Terrain crossover, Yukon, and Yukon XL SUVs, so be sure to visit Crawford Buick GMC.

GMC and Buick Shine in 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study

Three GMC vehicles and one Buick vehicle have been ranked among the most dependable vehicles in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study: the GMC Sierra 1500 in the full-size light-duty pickup segment, the Yukon in the large SUV segment, the Terrain in the compact SUV segment, and the Buick LaCrosse in the large car segment.

2015 GMC Yukon
2015 GMC Yukon – Recognized in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study

Every year, J.D. Power tracks vehicles in their third year of ownership to determine those with the highest level of dependability and reliability, ranking the top three in each automotive segment. This is determined based on the amount of problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100).

The Buick and GMC brands themselves were ranked highly: the former was 2nd, the highest of any non-luxury brand, and GMC was 10th, both performing far better than the industry average PP100 of 147.

Though it analyzes 2012 model year vehicles, the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study is still a great tool for picking out the best models and brands when it comes to reliability. You can find all of the models mentioned above at Crawford Buick GMC!
