The entire month of December, up through January, and well into February, the La Vina Farmer’s Market will be going on at the La Vina Winery. What’s better than a nice wine and farmer’s market goods to celebrate the holidays, especially with so many people coming to your house?

December 13th brings in the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. The ceremony features service members from all branches of the military laying down wreaths as a tribute to the fallen soldiers who are buried at the cemetery.

Also on the 13th is the Wheels of Joy—a Children’s Fundraising Event, which features a car show, food vendors, a Nerf Gun Battle, as well as other physical challenges. There are mini seminars centered on anti-bullying as well as hourly prizes and raffles. This year’s beneficiaries of the donations are: The Reynolds Home, STARS (Sexual Trauma and Assault Response Services), Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Orphanage, and Children in Chihuahua Historic Neighborhood.

Looking to entertain the kiddos this holiday season? December 14th at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, there will be a showing of Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol—the first animated Christmas special, originally broadcast in 1962. Complimentary popcorn will be provided, as well as discourse with historian Jay Duncan.

Is Mom looking for a way to relax during this often-stressful season? How about Martinis, Manicures & Music at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing? This pampering will help to unwind as the holiday season is on the upswing.

Crawford Buick GMC Helping to Make the Season Bright with Operation Santa Claus

Crawford Toy Drive

For many families, the holiday season truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Unfortunately for other families, Christmas time is a reminder that there simply isn’t room in the budget for a new doll or truck for their children. Crawford Buick GMC wants to help make the season brighter for families in need so that those less fortunate may also experience all the joys of the holiday season.

Travis Crawford, president of Crawford Buick GMC, hopes to spread some holiday cheer this Christmas by hosting a toy drive for Operation Santa Claus, a Fort Bliss Military non-profit that collects toys year round for military and civilian families. Members of the community are asked to help by simply donating a new or gently used toy to the Crawford Buick GMC dealership at 6800 Montana Ave. (at Airway) now through December 21, 2013.

“We appreciate the service of the men and women in uniform who are far from home and we here at Crawford Buick GMC are happy to collect toys for those families in need during this holiday season,” said Mr. Crawford.

From everyone at Crawford Buick GMC, Happy Holidays!
