While Europe never lost their love for the station wagon, it seems folks in the US cooled off on the idea, preferring instead the increasingly ubiquitous crossover. But that doesn’t mean the flame has become completely snuffed out here. In fact, there are more than a few people very excited about the upcoming Buick Regal Station Wagon.
So far, there is little news on this new entry from Buick. AutoGuide reports that based on a patent filing, the option for AWD on the new Buick Regal station wagon is likely.
Buick is no stranger to the format. There was a time when “Woodies,” as they were lovingly called, adorned with the side wood-paneling from which they got their nickname, were all over America’s roads. Officially called the Buick Sport Wagon, these iconic wagons were manufactured from the late 60s into the early 70s.
There will be no wood paneling this time around but the new wagon will still offer what the “Woodies” of yore did. That is, they will be the perfect answer to someone who wants something that drives like a car (like a luxurious and powerful Buick, mind you) but offers lots more interior space. The Buick Regal station wagon is set to premier in 2018.
For many families, the holiday season truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Unfortunately for other families, Christmas time is a reminder that there simply isn’t room in the budget for a new doll or truck for their children. Crawford Buick GMC wants to help make the season brighter for families in need so that those less fortunate may also experience all the joys of the holiday season.
Travis Crawford, president of Crawford Buick GMC, hopes to spread some holiday cheer this Christmas by hosting a toy drive for Operation Santa Claus, a Fort Bliss Military non-profit that collects toys year round for military and civilian families. Members of the community are asked to help by simply donating a new or gently used toy to the Crawford Buick GMC dealership at 6800 Montana Ave. (at Airway) now through December 21, 2013.
“We appreciate the service of the men and women in uniform who are far from home and we here at Crawford Buick GMC are happy to collect toys for those families in need during this holiday season,” said Mr. Crawford.
From everyone at Crawford Buick GMC, Happy Holidays!
The GMC Yukon has always provided the perfect definition of an SUV. With its rugged looks and its refined interior features, this stylish and capable machine can easily haul a crowd and all their cargo. From the base model to the luxurious Denali trim, the Yukon family has consistently been a top choice among those seeking a capable and attractive sport utility vehicle. To remain a top choice, GMC has revealed the all-new 2015 Yukon family, designed to be more stylish, more capable, and more efficient than ever before.
Refinement is a word that is not often associated with full-size SUVs, however the 2015 Yukon lineup has embraced this term. All-new exterior and interior designs of Yukon and Yukon XL are crafted to be both beautiful and functional. The 2015 Yukon will also feature the new EcoTec3 engine family that is expected to deliver the best V-8 fuel economy for this segment.
“We’ve engineered the Yukon and Yukon XL from the ground up, building on a strong legacy of capability to take them to the top of the segment with exceptional refinement and purposeful technology,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of GMC marketing. “And when it comes to tasks people rely on a full-size SUV for, they do it better than ever – and with more style.”
The new Yukon family will be built right here in Texas and is expected to arrive at Crawford Buick GMC and dealerships around the country in the first quarter of 2014. For additional information on the next generation Yukon lineup, visit our El Paso dealership in person or online.
Football season is officially underway. For some, this means a few months of hating everyone around them; for others, it’s the best three to four months of the year. If you fall in the second group, chances are high you’ve enjoyed at least a few awesome tailgate parties. And, you also know the key to having a successful tailgate party is having the right kind of vehicle.
Cars.com recently put together a list of what it considers the Top 10 Tailgaters and we were excited to see the 2014 GMC Acadia included on that list. What makes the Acadia perfect for your next tailgate party? It offers a spacious 24.1 cubic feet of space behind the third row and with the rear row folded flat, it jumps to 70 cubic feet. Only need the front row seats? Welcome to your cavernous 116 cubes. If it rains, you could move the party inside.
Another great tailgate-friendly feature is the available rear stereo controls. This lets you keep your phone plugged in up front while you find the perfect playlist in back. All without having to drain your phone’s battery using Bluetooth.
Drop by Crawford Buick GMC here in El Paso to see if the 2014 GMC Acadia is the perfect tailgater for you.
