What to Do After a Car Accident

It only takes one mistake or one bad driver to get into an accident, which means that no matter how careful of a driver you are, the possibility of getting involved in an accident is unfortunately always there. Whether or not it’s your fault, you need to know the proper procedures to follow when it happens. Here is what to do after a car accident.

Stay Calm

No matter what happens, do your best to stay calm. Don’t let emotion or adrenaline get the better of you. The first and most important thing to do is to check to make sure that you and everyone else around is safe.

Consider the Cars

If the accident is minor, talk with the other driver to see where the best place would be to move the cars. However, if the accident is serious, leave the cars exactly where they are until help arrives.

Call the Police

Even if the accident is minor, it’s best for you to have record of the accident. When you report the accident to you insurance company, it’s better for you to have an objective report of what happened.

How to Fix a Dent in Your Car

No matter how careful you are with your car, it’s going to happen to you at some point. Whether or not it’s your fault, you will end up with a dent in your car. Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be an expensive fix. Here is how to fix a dent in your car so that you don’t have to spend any money.

Plunger Method

The plunger method is probably the simplest way to fix a dent in your car. All that you need is a suction cup that is the size of the dent. If nothing else is available, the plunger from your bathroom will work just fine. Simply place the suction cup on the dent, and plunge gently until the dent pops out.

Hot/Cold Method

If the plunger method doesn’t work, or you don’t have a suction cup of any kind, the next method is the hot/cold method. All that you need is a hairdryer and some ice. Without holding the hairdryer too close to the car, warm up the area around the dent to make it malleable. Once it is sufficiently warm, apply the ice to the area to pop out the dent.

Buick Regal Station Wagon Set To Debut In 2018

While Europe never lost their love for the station wagon, it seems folks in the US cooled off on the idea, preferring instead the increasingly ubiquitous crossover. But that doesn’t mean the flame has become completely snuffed out here. In fact, there are more than a few people very excited about the upcoming Buick Regal Station Wagon.

So far, there is little news on this new entry from Buick. AutoGuide reports that based on a patent filing, the option for AWD on the new Buick Regal station wagon is likely.

Buick is no stranger to the format. There was a time when “Woodies,” as they were lovingly called, adorned with the side wood-paneling from which they got their nickname, were all over America’s roads. Officially called the Buick Sport Wagon, these iconic wagons were manufactured from the late 60s into the early 70s.

There will be no wood paneling this time around but the new wagon will still offer what the “Woodies” of yore did. That is, they will be the perfect answer to someone who wants something that drives like a car (like a luxurious and powerful Buick, mind you) but offers lots more interior space. The Buick Regal station wagon is set to premier in 2018.

Tips for Tailgating: Getting Ready for the Game

Tailgating is an American tradition that everyone can enjoy. You can have some stellar food, spend time with friends, and cheer on your favorite team. We’ve put together a list of tips for tailgating to help you make the most of your experience. In addition to a quality vehicle, there are some important things to keep in mind before you head to the game.

According to Buzz Feed, one of the most important things is preparation. You should plan to arrive four hours early and eat two hours before the game. Although this might sound excessive, you’ll need plenty of time to set up and tear down. Most importantly, tailgating can go wrong if everyone is rushing around to avoid missing the game. Give yourself plenty of time.

When it comes to food, bring as much prepared food as possible. It’s a good idea to get a food thermometer if you don’t already have one to keep track of internal temps. If you have meat or other food that spoils easily, be sure to put it on ice. Also, be sure to label food items and drinks. Show which are vegetarian/vegan friendly, which might affect allergies, and which drinks have alcohol.

Be friendly and enjoy the game. No one likes to see fighting and bickering over a game—be respectful. Make friends with your neighbors, and—most importantly—have fun! Tailgating doesn’t have to be perfect—remember to relax and enjoy the game.
