If you were wondering what to do this month in El Paso, wonder no more! Over the summer, thousands will go Dancing in the City at the Convention Center Plaza in Downtown El Paso, including a few of us from Crawford Buick GMC!
The event takes place every Saturday through June and July. The concert is at 8pm-10pm, but if you don’t want to show up feeling like the only fool on the block who can’t dance (don’t worry, you’re not alone), you can take dance lessons an hour before, from 7pm-8pm.
Each Saturday will feature different bands and different kinds of music, ranging from swing and salsa to cumbia and funk. This June, bands like Los Chamukos, Texas Gypsies, and the Abe Mac Band will set the tone for your newly-acquired skills. There won’t be a concert on Saturday, June 27th, as that night will be dedicated to the annual Downtown Street Festival, but you can still go to learn how to dance!
If there’s one thing El Paso attracts each spring, it’s music. There are tons of musical events to go to in El Paso, Texas in the coming weeks. To get you started on planning, we at Crawford Buick GMC have put together a short list of some of the upcoming El Paso music events:
- May 2nd – Battle of El Dorado – This enormous marching band contest will ultimately provide tons of scholarships to El Paso students all while providing powerful musical entertainment.
- May 8th-10th – Mariachi Loco Music Festival – This is a music festival dedicated to mariachi bands. Need I say more? There will also be excellent food on site.
- May 22nd-24th – Neon Desert Music Festival – This one isn’t for the kids; complimentary beer and wine will be available at this rowdy fest with a VIP ticket. Headliners include J. Cole, Kaskade, and Passion Pit.
Are there any other music events you’re planning to attend soon? Let us know in the comments.
