The GMC Sierra 2500HD is already regarded as one of the toughest pickup trucks on the road. But now thanks to an all-new edition, the Sierra is even tougher than ever. It’s called the GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain X – and it’s ready to take on the road less traveled.
The All Terrain X package has previously only been offered on the Sierra 1500 and the Canyon. But this year, the 2500HD gets the special treatment. The All Terrain X comes with incredible updates that are sure to handle any road like a champ. A Z71 off-road suspension package and skid plates ensure that the underside of your truck will be protected.
It’s not just about performance, though. All Terrain X trucks get aggressive details like 18-inch aluminum wheels, black mirrors, black sport bar, black side steps, and a black grille. Don’t worry, though, if Onyx Black isn’t for you, you can get the same features in Summit White.
On the inside, you’ll get sleek and comfortable style to match your aggressive interior. Features like remote-start and a wireless phone charger will make your drives easier. Plus, adjustable pedals, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel give you luxurious comfort.
Two GMC models have been recognized in KBB.com’s Best Resale Value Awards, including the GMC Canyon and Sierra. This is the second consecutive time the two models are ranked in the top 10.
“A vehicle’s resale value is of critical importance, because a vehicle with high resale value will typically be less expensive to own over time than a similar vehicle with poorer resale value,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director of Kelley Blue Book.
The 2016 GMC Canyon was ranked 3rd in the Best Resale Value Awards, with a projected resale value of 70.7% after three years and of 59.5% after five years. The 2016 GMC Sierra was projected to retain 57% of its value after three years and 48% after five. KBB.com’s projections are derived from current vehicle and sales data, market conditions, competition within segments, and expectations of the future economy.
Unless you intend to drive your vehicle until it literally falls apart beyond repair, these projections give you a good idea of the kind of value you can get back from your GMC Canyon or Sierra several years down the line. And, they’re already a great deal at Crawford Buick GMC before taking resale value into account!
It appears GMC has been hitting the gym to not only bulk up the look of its newest lineup, but also to partner with pro athletes in its newest ad campaign entitled “Precision.”
Highlighting the car company’s dedication to accuracy and detail found in its design and engineering accomplishments, one TV ad entitled “Fastball” features a San Francisco Giants left-handed relief pitcher throwing the ball over the corner of the plate, striking out his opponent with great skill and—obviously—precision. GMC’s precision ad campaign also features Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors and menswear craftsmen.
“For discerning GMC customers, Professional Grade has evolved to mean exacting attention to detail and fine craftsmanship in everything they do and purchase,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC sales and marketing, said in a statement. “Precision is a core attribute of the brand and is reflected in GMC’s continued momentum.”
The GMC “Precision” lineup includes the Acadia SUV, Canyon midsize pickup, Savana van, Sierra full-size pickup, Terrain crossover, Yukon, and Yukon XL SUVs, so be sure to visit Crawford Buick GMC.
Three GMC vehicles and one Buick vehicle have been ranked among the most dependable vehicles in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study: the GMC Sierra 1500 in the full-size light-duty pickup segment, the Yukon in the large SUV segment, the Terrain in the compact SUV segment, and the Buick LaCrosse in the large car segment.
Every year, J.D. Power tracks vehicles in their third year of ownership to determine those with the highest level of dependability and reliability, ranking the top three in each automotive segment. This is determined based on the amount of problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100).
The Buick and GMC brands themselves were ranked highly: the former was 2nd, the highest of any non-luxury brand, and GMC was 10th, both performing far better than the industry average PP100 of 147.
Though it analyzes 2012 model year vehicles, the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study is still a great tool for picking out the best models and brands when it comes to reliability. You can find all of the models mentioned above at Crawford Buick GMC!
It’s the ultimate question among truck-lovers: which truck is the best? Ask anyone with any kind of experience with trucks and you’ll get a pretty biased answer about their personal favorite truck.
But what happens when you objectively compare all of the one-ton trucks on the market to determine the ultimate champion? That’s exactly what PickupTruck.com set out to do.
They created a tough set of 19 tests and paired it with judged criteria to determine what we here at Crawford Buick GMC already knew: the GMC Sierra 3500 is the Ultimate One-Ton Truck.
The Sierra won the competition by a clear margin by having the smoothest and most comfortable ride and the best fuel economy, even when towing a 20,000 pound trailer from Las Vegas to Denver. However, the interior with its multimedia interface along with the 8-inch navigation screen pushed the Sierra over the edge to ensure the victory.
The Sierra managed to beat out all of its competitors even while being the least expensive truck in the competition.
Aside from sharing a meal with loved ones, there is another longstanding tradition that will be a part of many families’ Thanksgiving Day celebrations: the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. Celebrating 87 years of marching down the streets of New York City, this annual parade consists of magical floats, gigantic balloons, bands, and celebrities with a variety of different themes and sponsors. For the 33rd straight year the floats of this parade will be hauled by the reliable GMC truck lineup.
“We’re excited to continue this pairing of two iconic American brands,” said Sandra Moore, director of GMC advertising and sales promotion. “It’s a grand stage to display the unique design, advanced engineering and capability of GMC trucks, complemented by these remarkable floating works of art.”
Over 50 GMC Sierra pickups, Yukon Denali full-size SUVs, and Acadia Denali midsize crossovers will partake in this year’s May’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. Be sure to tune in to your local station to catch your favorite GMC models and the festive floats!
Last month, General Motors gave us a peak at the all-new 2015 GMC Sierra HD. These new heavy-duty trucks will be available early next year and include the 2500HD, 3500HD, and the luxurious Denali HD. These trucks offer many class-leading features.
Helping you get the job done is the highest payload capacity available in the segment: 7,374 pounds. This is paired with the highest conventional trailering rating of 19,600 pounds and fifth-wheel trailering capabilities of 23,200 pounds.
The GMC HD trucks are available with gasoline or Duramax diesel engines and a bi-fuel option that combines a compressed natural gas system with a gasoline engine.
Just because your truck is heavy-duty, that doesn’t mean you don’t want to be comfortable. Inside, you’ll find high-tech features and a comfortable interior. GM used larger rear doors and a revised cab body style to make it easier to get in and out of the truck. The back seat also gets 2 more inches of legroom.
Controls are easy-to-reach from the driver’s seat and located where you would expect. There are also more storage compartments and more outlets and plug-ins for your electronic devices. This is all in addition to the GMC IntelliLink infotainment system that comes with an 8-inch color touch screen.

Beginning with the 2011 model year, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) changed its New Car Assessment Program to include new requirements for vehicles to pass into order to receive the highest possible five-star overall safety rating. Since this new rating system was implemented, no pickup truck has ever attained this five-star score…until now. The all-new 2014 GMC Sierra and Sierra Denali (along with their Chevy Silverado cousin) are the first pickup trucks to receive a five-star Overall Vehicle Score for safety from the NHTSA.
Redesigned inside and out for the 2014 model year, the GMC Sierra mixes rugged styling cues with proven power and dependability. The advanced technologies and tech specs on the 2014 Sierra make it the best Sierra yet. Standard safety features on the base model include daytime running lights, StabiliTrak stability control system, tire pressure monitoring system, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, and dual-stage frontal and seat mounted air bags for driver and passenger. Additional available safety features include a rear vision camera, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and safety alert seats that vibrate pulses to warn the driver of potential traffic danger.
“Safety is as important to truck buyers as it is to car buyers,” said Gay Kent, GM general director of Vehicle Safety and Crashworthiness. “Silverado and Sierra set a benchmark for pickup truck safety by offering a full array of advanced features designed to protect occupants before, during, and after a collision.”

If you’re a truck owner who uses your pickup for hauling or towing, you know a thing or two about torque. For others who are unfamiliar with this term, you may not know the benefits torque can bring to your vehicle. To put it in its simplest terms, torque is the force that enables a vehicle to start moving from a stop and pulls it up steep hills. Torque also provides power when you are towing or hauling something behind the vehicle.
