It appears GMC has been hitting the gym to not only bulk up the look of its newest lineup, but also to partner with pro athletes in its newest ad campaign entitled “Precision.”
Highlighting the car company’s dedication to accuracy and detail found in its design and engineering accomplishments, one TV ad entitled “Fastball” features a San Francisco Giants left-handed relief pitcher throwing the ball over the corner of the plate, striking out his opponent with great skill and—obviously—precision. GMC’s precision ad campaign also features Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors and menswear craftsmen.
“For discerning GMC customers, Professional Grade has evolved to mean exacting attention to detail and fine craftsmanship in everything they do and purchase,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC sales and marketing, said in a statement. “Precision is a core attribute of the brand and is reflected in GMC’s continued momentum.”
The GMC “Precision” lineup includes the Acadia SUV, Canyon midsize pickup, Savana van, Sierra full-size pickup, Terrain crossover, Yukon, and Yukon XL SUVs, so be sure to visit Crawford Buick GMC.
Three GMC vehicles and one Buick vehicle have been ranked among the most dependable vehicles in the 2015 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study: the GMC Sierra 1500 in the full-size light-duty pickup segment, the Yukon in the large SUV segment, the Terrain in the compact SUV segment, and the Buick LaCrosse in the large car segment.
Every year, J.D. Power tracks vehicles in their third year of ownership to determine those with the highest level of dependability and reliability, ranking the top three in each automotive segment. This is determined based on the amount of problems reported per 100 vehicles (PP100).
The Buick and GMC brands themselves were ranked highly: the former was 2nd, the highest of any non-luxury brand, and GMC was 10th, both performing far better than the industry average PP100 of 147.
Though it analyzes 2012 model year vehicles, the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study is still a great tool for picking out the best models and brands when it comes to reliability. You can find all of the models mentioned above at Crawford Buick GMC!
Aside from sharing a meal with loved ones, there is another longstanding tradition that will be a part of many families’ Thanksgiving Day celebrations: the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. Celebrating 87 years of marching down the streets of New York City, this annual parade consists of magical floats, gigantic balloons, bands, and celebrities with a variety of different themes and sponsors. For the 33rd straight year the floats of this parade will be hauled by the reliable GMC truck lineup.
“We’re excited to continue this pairing of two iconic American brands,” said Sandra Moore, director of GMC advertising and sales promotion. “It’s a grand stage to display the unique design, advanced engineering and capability of GMC trucks, complemented by these remarkable floating works of art.”
Over 50 GMC Sierra pickups, Yukon Denali full-size SUVs, and Acadia Denali midsize crossovers will partake in this year’s May’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. Be sure to tune in to your local station to catch your favorite GMC models and the festive floats!
The GMC Yukon has always provided the perfect definition of an SUV. With its rugged looks and its refined interior features, this stylish and capable machine can easily haul a crowd and all their cargo. From the base model to the luxurious Denali trim, the Yukon family has consistently been a top choice among those seeking a capable and attractive sport utility vehicle. To remain a top choice, GMC has revealed the all-new 2015 Yukon family, designed to be more stylish, more capable, and more efficient than ever before.
Refinement is a word that is not often associated with full-size SUVs, however the 2015 Yukon lineup has embraced this term. All-new exterior and interior designs of Yukon and Yukon XL are crafted to be both beautiful and functional. The 2015 Yukon will also feature the new EcoTec3 engine family that is expected to deliver the best V-8 fuel economy for this segment.
“We’ve engineered the Yukon and Yukon XL from the ground up, building on a strong legacy of capability to take them to the top of the segment with exceptional refinement and purposeful technology,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of GMC marketing. “And when it comes to tasks people rely on a full-size SUV for, they do it better than ever – and with more style.”
The new Yukon family will be built right here in Texas and is expected to arrive at Crawford Buick GMC and dealerships around the country in the first quarter of 2014. For additional information on the next generation Yukon lineup, visit our El Paso dealership in person or online.
